I recommend asking the QB Community, to find out which remote connectivity tools are being used and also, your client needs to update their QB program, to stay current.Like the QuickBooks you know, with extrafeatures and flexibility. You can search the web for lots of connectivity tools, such as Join me, Log Me In, Team Viewer, Cisco, etc. Your computer becomes a portal and you connect to theirs and drive it like a zombie, as if you were at that computer in reality. You won't even use your own QB program for this. You didn't explain why you cannot use Remote Desktop. You need to be using the same year, and if they use Enterprise, you would need to use Enterprise.įor remote access, you are describing accessing their computer not just having access to their QB file. You don't need to be using QB Accountant for this to work. You send them the backup for them to restore at their end and it overwrites the file they had at their office.
qbb file is a Backup file, which means you are using a Replacement process your client does no work while you use that restored file, use it, make a new Backup.
